NELSON REGATTA

The Nelson Regatta is back for it's third year! This year the Nelson Paddling Club is excited to be hosting SUP races as well as races for U14- Masters paddlers of all ages and abilities!

Here is the draft schedule (subject to change)

8:30 AM- Group Warm up and club bonding
9:00 AM- U18 Male/Female 1000m
9:20 AM- U23/ Master's Male/ Female 1000m

9:30 AM-U14 Male/ Female 500m
9:40 AM-U18 Male/ Female 500m
9:50 AM-U23/ Masters Male/ Female 500m

--Course Break-- OC demonstration

10:10 AM-U14 Male/ Female 200m
10:20 AM-U18 Male/ Female 200m
10:30 AM-U23/ Masters Male/ Female 200m

10:45 AM Open surfski 4km
10:50 AM Open SUP 2km

These two races will run on the same course, course TBA

11:30 PM NPC Team Boat knock out **NEW**

Our coaches will create equally balanced team boat combinations by matching some of our younger developing athletes with our High Performance and Master's athletes. This event will be run in a knock out format on a 150m course.

--Knock out format: All team boats will race the 150m course. The slowest 1-2 boats will be eliminated. All remaining team boats will race the 150m course a second time and again the slowest 1-2 boats will be eliminated. This process repeats until we have our final raining NPC Team boat knock out champions! Handicaps may be given to equal out the playing field.

12:30 - NPC Potluck, Rowing Club will also be invited to participate in Pot Luck
